Important: As of June 2010, all residents of Susquehanna County should have been notified of their new 911 address by the County Readdressing Program. If you have not received your new 911 address please contact the Readdressing Department at 1-800-395-6503. You must provide your new mailing address to your tax collector. Susquehanna County Taxes
The County of Susquehanna assesses taxes for real property based on the assessed value of your property and the millage rate set by the County for each tax year. On your tax bill you will see County taxes collected for Real Estate, Debt Services, and Library. (Municipal Taxes vary for each municipality so please refer to your municipality's page for information specific to your municipality.) Real property tax rates are expressed in "mills" and one mill is equal to $1.00 of tax per every $1,000.00 of assessed value. Previous years millage rates were as follows:
2011 Real Estate: 10.500 Debt Services: 1.010 Library: 0.330
2010 Real Estate: 11.500 Debt Services: 1.010 Library: 0.330
